I too will miss out on the rhetoric bits, which were really fascinating given the recurring issue of "tone" on the internet.
Yes...Actually I'm gonna be exploring that a bit for a class I'm taking, AND I have support this summer to try and publish, so I think I can actually make both of them happen.
And the connection to "tone" - yes! it's so true! I really need to look at this, cuz I know that there's PLENTY of meta about the tone question that I can wind in with this stuff.
