The procession thing seems odd from here, but nice in the respect it conveys. I think the closest I've seen, either in England or the part of France where my grandparents live, is wedding processions being allowed through by everyone, and even that's rare.
I kind of miss being part of a big family-like church, tbh. I grew up in a huge one, but a group of us left recently to start up our own smaller one because it was too far away. It's cosier now, and we still get a lot of food going round, but it's not the same. Homophobia aside, they were a really nice group.
