I've been told some of the most amazing fic about women (including but not limited to femslash) comes from the Devil Wears Prada fandom -- I could never stand to check it out because I loathed the whole premise of the show, and don't like that sort of 'realism' -- but apparently there's all sorts of reclamatory work being done over there.
